The other day I took another sample of Tempranillo, but this time quickly and without much discretion! ie about 30 berries picked at random from all parts of the vineyard or so, and out! All done in about 15 minutes.
Tempranillo grape berries I found
the time that such rigor is not necessary and does not require a truly representative sample. No matter if we have a probable alcohol content of 9% or 10% as obiamente grapes are not ripe. Within a week (or two) but will be very important to know if we have 13% or 13.5%. Finally!
There were 37 ยบ C at 5 pm.
Walking through the vineyard, I found a vineyard that had an incredibly long branch:
"O la la! I've never seen one so long"
Then, while resting, drinking water , and I rolled a cigarette in the car, attacked me a lot of flies. The smoke poured, but nothing, I rubbed my arms and legs with oregano and thyme,
Oregano and thyme
but neither worked. At the end I managed to scare them when removing photos with the phone. Must have an instinctive fear of social media! I could only take a picture of this, the others disappeared!
A fly on my knee
Then I went to see a neighbor (producer of organic grapes) to discuss a possible purchase of grapes (this year we will have little harvest, so we spare capacity the winery). Along the way I took this picture through the window (I stopped before removing it!)
Ex-vineyard
The pile is in the countryside without vines have been removed. Many are started recently in Spain (and elsewhere I imagine). The EU is paying a few thousand Euros per hectare grubbed.
